David Krag, MD, FACS is the SD Ireland Professor of Surgical Oncology at the University of Vermont, College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. He is Senior Editor of the Tree of Medicine’s Sentinel Nodes and Breast Cancer module. He is a pioneer of and international leader in the area of sentinel node surgery and breast cancer. He is Principle Investigator for the NSABP-B32 trial comparing sentinel node surgery to axillary node resection. He has organized training of hundred’s of surgeons in the methods of sentinel node surgery. Dr. Krag has been named to U.S. News and World Report’s Top Doctors list for 2012-2013. Dr. Krag placed in the top 1% for excellence in Surgery with special expertise in Sentinel Node Surgery, Breast Cancer, Cancer Surgery and Melanoma.
